A career built in the endoscopy suite. Dr. Shrihari Anikhindi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist in the Institute of Liver, Gastroenterology and Pancreaticobiliary Sciences at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and Assistant Professor at GRIPMER.
For the past eight years he has worked as one of the hospital’s lead endoscopists, in a unit recognised as a centre of excellence for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy in North India — skilled across advanced procedures including Per Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM), Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), and diagnostic and therapeutic Endosonography (EUS).
He also set up and continues to lead the hospital’s GI Motility Unit, now among the highest-volume GI physiology services in the country, and serves as Proprietor of Medigest Gastro, Liver & Endoscopy Clinic, his outpatient practice in West Delhi.
